Great value for money. The jumper feels well made and the delivery was quicker than expected
We chose extra-fine merino for one reason: it performs where other materials give up. It regulates temperature, resists odour, and softens further with every wear — without the weight or the itch of standard wool.
The fibre comes from the merino breed — originally Spanish, now raised across the highlands of Australia, New Zealand and Patagonia. It measures under 20 microns in diameter: fine enough to wear directly against skin, season after season.
We chose cashmere because nothing else comes close to it. The handle is immediate — a softness that is not manufactured but grown, slowly, in some of the coldest places on earth.
The fibre is combed by hand from the soft undercoat of the cashmere goat, once a year, during the spring moult. Each animal yields no more than 150 grams of usable fibre. Primarily sourced from the highlands of Mongolia and the Kashmir region.
We chose linen because it improves with time rather than degrading. It breathes where most fabrics trap heat, holds its structure through wear, and develops a softness through washing that synthetic alternatives can never replicate.
The fibre is drawn from the stalks of the flax plant, grown across the fields of Northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands. One of the oldest fibres in recorded history — and still one of the most honest.
We chose long-staple cotton because the difference is felt immediately. Fewer joins in the yarn means a smoother surface, less pilling over time, and a weight that drapes rather than stiffens.
The fibre comes from the boll of the cotton plant — a fibre that opens naturally when ripe. Long-staple varieties, grown in Egypt and Peru, produce the finest yarn: stronger, smoother, longer-lasting than standard cotton.
We chose suede for its immediate softness and the way it takes on character over time. No two pieces age identically — the surface responds to wear, light and handling in a way that makes each pair or garment gradually unique.
Suede is the inner face of the hide — typically lamb or calf — buffed to a fine, even nap. Tanned primarily in Italy and Spain, where the craft of finishing has been refined over generations.
We chose full-grain leather because it is the only material that genuinely improves with age. The surface develops a patina through wear — deepening in tone, softening in texture — until it carries the imprint of the person using it.
Vegetable-tanned using natural bark extracts rather than chemicals, the hides are processed slowly in tanneries in Portugal and northern Italy. It takes longer. The result lasts decades.
Every piece begins with the material.
